I was born in St. Louis and have lived here my entire life. I have always loved working with my hands, and creating physical beauty for people to use and enjoy, which led to a career as a carpenter beginning in 1998. I was married in 2004 to Joelle, a wonderful woman. After going through a variety of struggles personally and in my marriage, I was greatly helped through counseling. This led to going back to school and receiving a Masters in Counseling from Covenant Seminary in 2018. Since then we have had the joy of having two wonderful kids, with whom I spend every moment I can.

I enjoy a broad  array of interests and passions, including thinking and talking with others, detailed or strenuous physical work, good food, playing and listening to music, and challenging myself with a variety of exercise goals from running to gymnastics to strongman competitions.

I believe we are created to enjoy and tend to the world and each other, and this requires enjoying natural paths to joy and fun, as well as pushing against areas of weakness and struggle or brokenness. While there are times when it is right and good to focus on protection and safety, my hope is always to move toward increased resilience and growth, if possible becoming bigger and more unique images of our creator.

Because of my own experiences, I find great joy in working with couples who are struggling to make their marriage what they hope it could be, and with individuals who feel held back or struck down by the numerous difficulties that arise in life, whether they are things that they have largely bought on themselves, or things that the brokenness in the world has caused them to bear up under. It would be a pleasure to join you on the journey and help you work towards growth.
