Welcome to Deep Waters Counseling! I'm so glad you're here and have decided to learn more about us. If you're considering working with me, you need to know that my counseling practice centers around helping adult individuals and couples who have experienced sexual trauma in any of its various forms. Whether it be due to recent infidelity, a painful history of sexual, physical and emotional betrayal, sexual identity confusion, or present day repercussions of childhood abuse and trauma, it is a privilege to walk with my clients into the darkness of their stories. I enjoy coming alongside and advocating for people who are tired of just coping, dissatisfied with their quality of life, and desperate for deep change and healing. Read on to learn about some speciality areas I'm passionate about.

I am professionally certified through CP Enneagram and find great satisfaction coaching clients to use the Enneagram as a tool for personal growth and healing. The Enneagram is beneficial for people from all faith and cultural backgrounds, as it is highly honoring of personal stories and experiences.  If you would like to be interviewed to discover your type and subtype, or are ready to use the Enneagram for growing beyond just insight into a dynamic system of growth paths and real change, I would be honored to coach you through the process.

I've also been working over the last fourteen years with couples and spouses of men and women struggling with sexual addiction, having volunteered with the organization First Light St. Louis leading support groups, as well as received training through Christian Sex Addiction Specialists International (formerly IACSAS). I've also completed Levels 1 and 2 training through the Gottman Institute for couples work and enjoy watching couples grow in communication and intimacy through the use of Gottman methods.

I've received basic and advanced training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy specifically for attachment trauma, and I believe EMDR is a powerful, restorative therapy. After almost ten years of practicing EMDR with clients, I am still amazed at how it can circumvent "stuck points" and help clients make important connections and resolve unwelcome body sensations without spending as much time or requiring as many therapist interventions as traditional talk therapy.

Please note that I am currently operating on a wait list of 3-4 months. Consider reaching out to one of my competent colleagues at Deep Waters for counseling in the meantime.
